This Privacy Policy describes how Go2Msg ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, sign up for an account, or use the Go2Msg service to send and receive messages over SMS, WhatsApp, or other supported channels (collectively, the "Service").
2. Our role: controller vs. processor
For information about you as an account holder (such as your name, email, billing address, and product usage), we act as a data controller. For information you upload, send, or receive through the Service in order to communicate with your recipients (such as contact lists and message content), we act as a data processor on your behalf. You — our customer — are the controller of that data and are responsible for its lawful collection, use, and disclosure.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), organization, role.
- Billing information: billing address and tax details. Payment card data is processed and stored by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Recipient and message data: contact lists, phone numbers, message content, attachments, and message metadata that you upload to or send through the Service.
- Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: features used, pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and crash diagnostics.
- Delivery data: message delivery status, error codes, and engagement events provided by carriers and platform partners.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- send messages on your behalf to the recipients you designate;
- authenticate users and prevent fraud or abuse;
- process payments and manage subscriptions;
- communicate with you about your account, product updates, and policy changes;
- analyze usage to improve performance and develop new features; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the contents of your messages or contact lists for advertising or to train artificial-intelligence models.
6. Subprocessors
We engage trusted third parties to help us provide the Service. A current list of subprocessors is available upon request to hello@go2msg.com. We require subprocessors to provide a level of data protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
7. International data transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information in countries other than the one in which you reside. When we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions with data export restrictions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Message content and metadata are retained according to your account's configured retention settings, the requirements of carriers and platform partners, and applicable law. You can request deletion of personal data by contacting us; we will respond consistent with our legal obligations.
9. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, and regular review of our security practices. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing activities. You can exercise most rights from your account settings or by emailing hello@go2msg.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If you are a message recipient and would like to stop receiving messages, reply STOP to SMS messages, or use the in-message controls for WhatsApp. To exercise broader rights with respect to your data, please contact the organization that sent you the message — they are the data controller. We can help connect you if needed.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes we will provide additional notice, such as by email or in-app notification.
